Mom and Dad celebrated their 49th anniversary on August 20. It was very nice. Dad took all of their local children, (that is local not loco) and their spouses to The Roof restaurant in Salt Lake City. It is a very nice buffet style restaurant in the Joseph Smith Building. We had our own room that looked out over the city. There was a piano player taking requests, and people taking care of us. It was wonderful. After dinner my great Dad and Mom gave us each a card thanking us for being part of their life, along with a nice "after dinner mint, $10 bill".
We then walked over to the temple and had our pictures taken. When Mom and Dad were married, they didn't get any pictures in front of the temple. So we took a few and had some fun. It was a very nice evening.
