Fantastic but Lonely Fourth

Preparing for the Fun Run
The Firth Runners

Jackson coming home

Laurel, Ryder and Kirk

Jackson, Chris and Billy

This year our fourth was kind of lonely. Jackson was our only child here. This is our first 4th without Britton and Colton was in Hawaii. The day started out at 6:00. I had volunteered to help with the Fun Run representing the First National Bank. It is a fun but hectic activity that we do every year.

Jackson had his All Star Game at 9:00. He played well. Their team won. It was very thrilling. Then run to the parade. The parade was a sign of the economy I felt. There were not the big floats this year. I was a little disappointed, but grateful that the parade still went on.

We had a swimming party and then off to Andrea's for Volleyball, smores and fireworks. We missed the boys most then. Kenny is on a mission and Kendall was in St. Louis so that left Billy, his friend Chris and Jackson to light the fireworks. We had a nice time. It was fun.
