BASEBALL MINOR LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!

Jackson's team took first place for Machine Pitch Minor League. The team were coached by Dan Horton and Dave. They had a blast. They had to play a game Monday and two games on Tuesday for the Championship. It was fun, and stressful. It was a great season.

Jackson got his Bear Badge this week.

Football has started again, you can tell by Colton's legs.

Britton is in Seattle ( I think a suburb of it-however his address is Seattle). He is in a 4 pack with two Spanish speaking missionaries and two English speaking ones. He is Zone leader and loves the area. It is the most "ghetto" area of his mission. He loves to teach chastity to the "street-workers". He is happy and is ready to settle here for a little bit.

Britton The Leader Of The Zone!

Britton was made District Leader the first week in June. He was living in Edmunds and loving his new companion. He had a baptism and he sang a solo for the Zone Conference and for the baptism. He was getting along great. His letter was very upbeat. He was getting excited for the new calling of District Leader. At the end of his letter this week, he said... "PS. The Mission President just called me and I have to pack and go to the zone leaders meeting. He called me to be a Zone Leader so until I know where I will be serving, just send all my mail to the Millcreek Mission Home, The Church is Still True." So for us, we don't currently know where he is. I will bet he is in Washington still. I feel a little remorse that he didn't get to spend more time with his companion. They were going to celebrate being out in the field 6 months together on July 7th.

Are We There Yet?

There meaning the land of the living. This week has really been yucky. On Tuesday I had a small procedure called a Lumbar Puncture that was to measure the fluid in my brain to find a reason for all my headaches. The procedure wasn't as bad as the aftermath. I have learned that spinal headaches are the devil. My head felt like it was going to explode off my shoulders, my hair even hurt. The treatment was to lie flat on my back until the hole sealed inside of my body. I was down Wednesday, tried to go to work on Thursday...lasted 25 minutes, was down on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I finally can sit for a few hours without wanting to end it all. I have actually welcomed back the old headaches that started this mess with open arms. I will not want to do that again. Thanks to everyone that was concerned and called or stopped by. I was mortified to see the state of my house when my Relief Society Presidency stopped in. I was horrified as they tried to stick something in my fridge for us to eat. Good thing they are my friends, and have to still love me even if my house is a mess and the fridge was awful.

Football camp: Colton attended a camp Thursday, Friday and Saturday called the All Poly Camp. It is a full contact camp that coaches come from all over the country to teach and watch. He had a great time meeting and befriending players from all over the country including Hawaii. He felt so small. He was the second smallest lineman there. He was a little overwhelmed on Thursday but by Saturday, he was loving it.

Jackson attended a camp for All For Love Adoptions that had the Disan brothers and Luther Ellis teach. He loved it. They (Colton and Jackson) were on the Channel 2 Morning News on Friday morning. Thanks to my Dad for getting up and taking Jackson down there at 5:45 am. Jackson stayed all day and came home and collapsed at 2:30. By five, he had the flu. He got up and felt 100% better Saturday and finished the camp out.

Father's Day Postponed:
Having been on my back all week, I had not even gotten Dave, Grandpa Odle or Grandpa Firth a Father's Day Gift. My parents got Jackson's flu on Saturday and so we postponed Father's Day for our family. I feel bad for Dave, he has been so helpful and concerned for me all week. He is a great guy. I am so lucky to have him as my husband. I love him. Happy Father's Day Dave.

We Survived, Barely It Seems

Well school has ended and here comes another summer. We made it through Dave's TDY week. Colton and I picked up a really bad cold along the way. Jackson had two ball games, one was called for lightning with a tied score, the other one with Jackson's team winning. We had John's family out here for the week and we tried really hard to have fun but not share our disease with them. They took Tyler to the MTC and dropped him off at the curb, kind of disappointing I would suppose. He will be a great missionary, I know it. Just the changein him into a man from a month ago was amazing to me.
Colton went to every end of school party he could, Jackson spent every not in school moment with Jason and Ryan, his cousins. Jackson and Colton went FlowRiding two times each. I tried to get better but couldn't miss work because we were shorthanded. Dave got home late Thursday and I was grateful for some relief.
Colton went to a Line Man Challenge sponsored by Weber State. He and 4 other Lancers were named the Number One Line in the State. They beat out the other schools. He was exhausted.
Colton starts football in a week and Jackson starts music camp tomorrow. He will take a few days off for football camp later this month.
We had a garage sell at Andrea's on Saturday. I laid kind of low this weekend to try to get better. So far....it is a little better. I missed my opportunity to sing at Stake Conference with the Stake Choir that I had practiced with, I was a little disappointed not to get the opportunity due to my sickness. It was better than me coughing my head off all meeting. We said goodbye to John's family and had June's birthday celebration.
